GenBench ("we", "the app") is an iOS application for benchmarking generative AI models on-device. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

1. On-Device Processing

All AI model inference (chat, benchmarking, vision) runs entirely on your device using the local processor and GPU. No conversation content, prompts, or model outputs are ever sent to our servers or any third party.

2. Data We Collect

When you voluntarily tap "Submit to Leaderboard" after a benchmark run, the following data is sent to our server:

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

No personal information (name, email, phone number, Apple ID)
No device identifiers (UDID, serial number, IDFA, IDFV)
No location data (we do not perform IP geolocation lookups beyond optional aggregate region counts)
No conversation content or AI model outputs
No photos or images
No analytics, crash reports, or telemetry
No cookies or tracking pixels

4. When Data Is Collected

Data is collected only when you explicitly tap the "Submit" button after a benchmark run. The app never sends data automatically or in the background. If you never tap Submit, no data leaves your device.

5. How Data Is Used

Display anonymous leaderboard rankings in the app and on genbench.tken.ai
Compute device-level performance averages (e.g., "Average tok/s on iPhone 15 Pro")
No data is sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising

6. Data Storage & Security

Submitted scores are stored on servers located in the United States
All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption)
Submissions are pseudonymous — we record the source IP server-side but not your name, account, or device ID, and we cannot tie a submission to a person without external data
No user accounts exist; there is nothing to log into or delete

7. Data Retention

Submitted benchmark scores are retained indefinitely to maintain leaderboard history. Since submissions are anonymous and contain no personal information, there is no personal data to delete.

8. Children's Privacy

GenBench does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app does not require an account or collect personal information.

9. Camera & Photo Library

The app requests camera and photo library access solely for the vision model feature (image understanding). Photos are processed on-device and are never uploaded or stored by us.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
